Digital Veteran Card promoted as route to support
A government release reports more than 23,000 digital Veteran Card downloads. The optional card can help demonstrate veteran status for GP registration and relevant health support, alongside participating retailers’ discounts.
Issued by Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, United Kingdom ·
The digital card keeps proof of service on a phone and has been available since October 2025. Veterans first need a physical card application to be fully processed and dispatched. They can then apply for the digital version through the GOV.UK One Login app. The digital version is optional; the physical card remains available. The announcement says the card can help when accessing relevant services and offers, but acceptance varies by organisation. It advises checking before visiting rather than assuming every provider accepts it.
