Angle RNLI helps paramedics reach marina casualty
Angle RNLI volunteers assisted paramedics treating a man with a suspected heart attack at Milford Marina. The incident occurred on 31 October; the charity published its release on Sunday 1 November.
The crew was on exercise when tasked at 10.31am on 31 October. Two casualty-care trained volunteers went ashore with medical equipment while the lifeboat passed through the marina lock. They reached the man as paramedics arrived and helped assess extraction options. The crew prepared a basket stretcher, moved him from the pontoons to the car park and left him in paramedic care. The lifeboat returned to readiness by 12.30pm. The release does not report the patient’s later outcome or confirm a final diagnosis.
