Salvation Army announces remembrance services across Wales

The Salvation Army’s Canton Band and Wales leader will participate in Cardiff’s remembrance service today. The charity also plans a service at its veterans’ accommodation service in Wrexham.

Issued by The Salvation Army, Wales ·

The Salvation Army has announced its involvement in remembrance events across Wales on Sunday 8 November. Its Canton Band will provide music at the Welsh National War Memorial in Cathays Park, Cardiff, with the service scheduled for 10.30am. Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Roberts will deliver a reading.

The church and charity connects remembrance with gratitude for those who died in service and work towards peace and reconciliation.

Other planned events include a service at Ty Dewr Lifehouse in Wrexham. The organisation describes this as accommodation for former Army, Navy or Air Force personnel experiencing homelessness, supporting residents to regain independence and participate in community life. The release was issued ahead of the events and does not confirm that they have already taken place.
